Joyful Learning Services was created with a simple but powerful purpose - to help children with learning differences discover their true potential and thrive. We believe that every child can learn and it is our responsibility to teach joyfully. Every child has unique talents and abilities waiting to be recognized, and it is our mission to help them see their own strengths.
We have a personal connection to the challenges faced by children with learning differences, and know firsthand the impact that a supportive and compassionate environment could have on a child's growth and development. We set out to create a business that would provide evidence-based services and support for children and families, with a focus on promoting positive outcomes and lasting success.
We are proud to say that this mission guides our work every day. We are passionate about what we do, and we are committed to making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to succeed, and we are here to help make that happen.
The Joyful Learning Services Story
Dr. Michele Bishop and Dr. Amy Kenzer are the founders of Joyful Learning Services, which they started in 2023. They have over 50 years of combined experience helping children with autism and other learning differences. They first met at the University of Nevada, Reno while studying Behavior Analysis and have since worked together and separately to provide effective services for families in the Greater Phoenix Area.
Drs. Amy and Michele have extensive experience in research and application, serving children, teens, and adults with autism and other learning differences in a variety of settings. They are also both published researchers and professors who teach the next generation of behavior analysts. Dr. Michele has a background in school psychology and helping students with learning differences in public schools, while Dr. Amy has personal experience with academic learning services for her own child.
Through their experience and dedication, Drs. Amy and Michele saw a need for more accessible and effective services for children with learning differences and their families. This inspired them to create Joyful Learning Services.
Our mission is to provide quality behavior analytic services while bringing joy and success in learning for children with learning differences.
