Convenient Location
Our learning coaches come to you, providing in-home learning services in the Greater Phoenix area. Online learning services are also available for children who can actively and independently participate. We can also teach in the community or at school.
Our home-based learning services bring convenience to you and allow your child to learn in their natural environment. By learning in a familiar environment, your child can practice their new skills in a way that is comfortable for your child. It also makes it more likely that your child will retain the skills they learn and practice them with you. As a parent, you get to see firsthand what your child is learning and celebrate their progress, making the learning process more rewarding for everyone involved.
Foundational Skills
Our approach to teaching academic skills is based on scaffolding, which means teaching component skills before moving on to composite skills. This approach is used in traditional education, where scaffolding happens over weeks and years so that as children get older and move through grades in school, the curriculum becomes more complex and challenging but relies on learning from prior years’ teaching. This means that what a high school freshman is learning relies on existing knowledge they gained in middle school, elementary school, and even Kindergarten.
However, children with learning differences may struggle with foundational skills, leaving them unable to perform even the “easy” parts of schoolwork. This can cause them to work harder and longer than their peers, hindering their learning progress.
