Home-Based Services

We are seeking a learning supervisor to oversee exceptional learning services to our clients in the comfort and convenience of their own homes. As a learning supervisor, you will lead an amazing team of learning coaches who work directly with learners, helping them achieve their goals and develop new skills.

Our program is all about bringing learning services to clients’ homes, which means you will travel during your workday. While telehealth supervision is a common method of support, we are committed to combining remote and in-person supervision and parent coaching. This allows for a more personalized and effective approach, as you connect with coaches, learners, and their caregivers while seeing the whole of their environment.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to travel to clients' homes, have excellent communication skills, and be passionate about helping learners achieve their goals. Our model is unique in that is designed to improve academic performance, self-confidence, and personal growth by targeting academic skills, self-advocacy, and executive functioning skills; in addition to more traditional skill repertoires such as social skills, communication, adaptive, and play/leisure. At Joyful Learning Services our teaching approach prioritizes true mastery through fluency-based instruction, which allows for generalization of skills beyond our sessions and into everyday life. We use a combination of structured, naturalistic, and fluency-based instruction in accordance with evidence-based practices, individualized to meet the unique needs of each learner.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Full-Time learning supervisor to join our team. Learning supervisors must have a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or a related field, hold a current certificate as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and be Licensed in Arizona.

As a Full-Time learning coach, you will work 40 hours per week, with up to 18 of those hours spent providing parent coaching and direct supervision with learning coaches and learners. The remaining time will be spent completing indirect supervision, training learning coaches, completing administrative tasks, driving, and attending supervision and team meetings. Learning supervisors may also provide learning services directly with our learners, especially when enrolling a new learner or training a new learning coach.

Learning supervisors oversee approximately 160 learning service hours per week. The number of learners they support will vary based on each learner’s service goals, weekly hours, and level of supervision needed. We are committed to a strong team approach where learning supervisors support one another with clinical supervision and have consistent guidance from the co-founders, Dr. Amy and Dr. Michele.

At Joyful Learning Services, we are committed to providing quality supervision for our learners and coaches. That's why we structure our caseloads and compensation to reflect each learning supervisor’s expertise, competence, and workload. This flexibility allows us to adjust the ratio of direct to indirect supervision time, as well as administrative tasks, to meet the distinct requirements of each learning supervisor.

Recognizing that exprienced supervisors may handle a higher caseload more efficiently, compared to new professionals who may benefit from additional indirect supervision time, we appreciate the diverse needs of our team members. We also offer flexibility in caseloads in acknowledgment that learning supervisors have individual preferences and commitments.

Our compensation model aligns with the number of treatment hours a supervisor oversees, reflecting the direct supervision hours required to ensure top-notch supervision quality.
